How to Make Point & Figure Charts from Daily Newspapers (1950) by Owen Taylor

Alanpuri Trading, Los Angeles, 2022, Softcover, Reprint, Illustrated with charts and tables, An exact facsimile of the 1950 original by Owen K. Taylor, Originator of the Point and Figure Method, 12 pp.

Contents: A 12 page primer on how to create Point and Figure Charts from the prices provided by the Daily Newspaper.  Probably more applicable 7 decades ago when it was originally written, nevertheless, this extremely scarce work by Owen Taylor may be of interest to those looking for scarce titles to add to their trading libraries.

Note: Although Taylor’s title page suggests that he is the “Originator of the Point and Figure Method,” it was Charles Dow that is generally cited as the inventor of the Point and Figure Method in the late 1800s. Victor deVilliers wrote the first book/manual about the Point and Figure Method in 1933 and in 1934 Owen Taylor and deVilliers co-authored a revised edition of deVilliers earlier title. These books launched the wide adaption of the method in the 40s and 50s.
