Preface: The material presented in this treatise on Stock Market analysis and techniques is the outgrowth of years of research and experience in applying the principles to actual market situations.

In the early 1930’s my brokerage account was shrinking and almost every transaction completed resulted in a loss. This situation stimulated my imagination. Having an analytical type of mind, I immediately began studying to find out what the trouble was. This was easy since, like most traders, I was acting on what I thought or what some friend told me the market was going to do. Of course, it usually did the opposite and when a margin call came around, I’d sell out and take another loss.

Following the Spring rise of 1933, I limited my trading to 20 share units while I applied the findings of my research projects. It was not until 1944 that I again became an active trader. This time, I paid no attention to what I heard, what I thought, or what influence politics, acts of God, wars and news of the day might have on the stock market. My guide for action is, what do the “KEYS” have to say? Are they bullish, bearish or neutral?

When our positions are based upon mechanical devices, all personal feelings and opinions can be eliminated. Market trading becomes a pleasure and a source of pride since the profits are large and the occasional loss is small.

It is my hope that you will profit by a thorough study of the material presented within.

I will welcome suggestions and criticisms.
